Well the naysayers were quiet on Sunday! They said NO One would bowl The Proprietors Cup, they had 55 entries! They said NO ONE would pay $1,100 to bowl a tournament; they had a $55,000 Prize Fund! They said the lefties would dominate the house shot, 6 righties and 5 lefties made the final 11. They said a female can’t beat the men on a house condition, well today Shannon Pluhowsky of Dayton, Ohio had something to say about that. Shannon bowled great all day and dodged elimination after elimination on her way to the ‘Final Pair’. At the final pair, Mason Brantley of Detroit, Michigan who seemed to become a fan favorite after shooting 299 and 300 in back to back games and picking up the 7-10, finished 4th and won $5,225. With 3 bowlers remaining, Shannon bowled 299 to secure her a spot in the finals. Brandon Novak of Columbus, Ohio shot 269 and left the door open for Jason Couch to advance to the finals, . Jason needed to strike out to shut out Novak and got his 1st strike, then he slammed the pocket and left one pin, NOVAK WINS and heads to the finals, by ONE pin. Jason won $6,435 for his 3rd place finish. In the finals it was all Shannon as she beat Novak 226-182 to win $15,950 and Novak was well rewarded with $9,900. If you were unable to see the action, check out www.insidebowling.com and watch this amazing tournament!

The action was crazy, as The Proprietors Cup eclipsed the $100,000.00 mark after paying out the prize funds, brackets, and jackpots! “It was a very special weekend for me, watching my dream tournament unfold” said Billy Eysoldt. “I have to thank all those who helped and supported this event, without the help of the industry, proprietors, managers, and all the bowlers who participated in satellites, this event would not have taken off.”

Billy has bigger plans next year as he teams up with Paula Vidad from the Women’s Bowling Alliance and will GUARANTEE $5,000 and a Proprietors Cup entry at the inaugural ‘WBA MEGABUCK”. He will also offer the seniors a chance at a HUGE Payday and has teamed up with Jeff Richgels and will feature the ‘11thframe.com Senior Megabuck’. The Ace Mitchell All-Star Team Challenge and Scott Shreve will be back with a $10,000 team side pot and the $1,100 Proprietors Cup Megabuck Bowling Event will hopefully be even larger and pay out even more!
